Hearthling A Flame That Wanders

A 2.5D metroidvania about light, loss,
and the places we carry inside us.

Explore a world
painted in ink and ember

Hearthling is a hand-crafted 2.5D action-exploration game set in a dying world of ink-washed ruins and forgotten hearths. You are a wandering flame — fragile, persistent, and searching.

Navigate interconnected environments drawn in the tradition of ink painting. Uncover abilities that reshape your path through the world. Every corner holds memory, and every memory holds power.

Fluid Movement

Dash, wall-jump, and glide through layered environments that reward curiosity and mastery in equal measure.

Spellcasting Combat

Weave elemental spells with precise timing. Every encounter is a conversation between fire and shadow.

Ink-wash World

A visual language rooted in East Asian ink painting — monochrome silhouettes, amber light, and an atmosphere of quiet devastation.

Coming to Steam

Targeting PC, console, and handheld platforms. Showcasing at Tokyo Game Show and Gamescom Asia.

Small team.
Singular vision.

Studio Hearthling is an independent game development studio based in Singapore. We are a small, passionate team of artists, programmers, and designers united by a belief that games can be profound — emotionally resonant, visually distinctive, and worth remembering.

Our debut title, Hearthling, is a labor of craft. Every frame of animation, every line of world design, every system has been built with intention. We draw from the tradition of action-exploration games while reaching for something that feels genuinely our own.

We are preparing to bring Hearthling to international game showcases and are actively developing toward a full release. If you are a publisher, investor, or fellow creator who shares our sensibility — we would be glad to hear from you.
